Hello future college students! My name is Aaron Brown and I’m a 2007 graduate of Oakridge High School. I’m in my sophomore year of college. I spent my first year at Muskegon Community College and this past fall I began attending Western Michigan University. WMU is located in the great diverse city of Kalamazoo, which is about an hour and a half from Muskegon. There is plenty to do downtown year round, and countless things to do on campus. I enjoy attending WMU football, basketball, hockey, and baseball games. WMU has endless student organizations and I guarantee that you could find one that suits you. WMU holds countless orientations that you can attend to get to know the campus and university, if you’re ever in town just contact me at 231-215-1467 or email me and I will personally show you around campus and fill you in with anything you want to know about Western Michigan University. If you would like to visit campus and stay for a weekend let me know in advance and I will find a way to make it happen.

I really like Aaron’s podcast. I like the fact that he mentions, not only the things on campus, but outside of the campus as well. Western sounds like a University that I’d really like to attend.
I am kind of like Aaron was with the deal of not knowin exactly what i want to do after highschool. I am pretty sure I want to go into the medical field. I have the plan to attend Michigan State or Grand Valley as of right now, but from the sounds of it Western sounds good too, but i dont know about the medical school part, or if they even have medical school there.
That’s a good question. Talk to them. And visit. that’s the key. Visit!
I would talk to Mr. Danicek about how their medical field is, from what he has told me it is insanely competitive. Western does have at least some medical programs though.
